About our reach

A bridge between two nations

Educate the Needy Children (ENC) is a registered non-profit organization established in 2011 in the United States of America. Its partner organization SETCO is based in the Bhattedanda village of Lalitpur district in Nepal.

Together, ENC and SETCO have increased sponsorship to about 150 children and, with greater support from donors, plan to raise the number to about 200 over the next year or two.

SETCO conducts monitoring of the education of sponsored children on a regular basis, with regular consultations involving school principals, teachers, and parents at least three times per year.

"Over 90% of these kids are from socially deprived communities and about two-thirds are female."

How we monitor

Ensuring every child succeeds

Student consultations
SETCO holds regular consultations with school principals, teachers, and parents at least three times per year to review each sponsored student's progress.
Attendance tracking
A minimum of 80% school attendance is required to maintain scholarship status. SETCO monitors this closely and follows up with families when attendance drops.
Academic progress review
Homework completion is monitored and scholarship conditions require parents to commit to their children studying at home. Academic results are reviewed regularly.

Help us reach 200 children

We're on a mission to expand from 150 to 200 sponsored children. Your support can make the difference for a child in rural Nepal.
